Well there you have it, the star of the adored Disney movie 'Moana' (2016) has recently came out as bisexual. Auli'i Cravalho, the 19 year old actress, decided to make her sexuality known to everyone in the most trending way possible, TikTok! What other way is there these days? Does this also mean the Disney character herself is bisexual...? I am going to say YES until proven otherwise.
See! She is Moana after all so...
I though it would be a great opportunity to discuss bisexuality and lead from Auli'i's example, so here we go!
What is bisexuality? It is a sexuality where a person is attracted sexually to both females and males. This is different to pansexual and omnisexual because pansexuality does not regard gender at all and simply loves people, omnisexual loves multiple genders.

Many misconceptions have been made around bisexuality which I think need to be addressed. When you are bisexual it doesn't mean you are more or less attracted to males or females or that it can be represented as a percentage. Unless you do choose to do it this way then cool. It simply represents that you would be happy being with a woman or a man. And no it doesn't mean at the same time.
Polygamy is a whole other thing.
It also doesn't mean people who identify as bisexual are undecided and are therefore wavering between the two. They simply like both. No one needs to try and persuade them otherwise. You do you. If you are dating someone that identifies as bisexual it doesn't mean you have to be twice as jealous either. If you trust in you relationship then it's fine. If it's meant to be they won't be enticed by someone else. This is the same for any sexuality.
Through my experience in the LGBTQ+ community I have seen a lot of exclusion towards bisexuals. Crazy, right? From their own community, hence the LGBTQ+. They are often labelled as "greedy", "indecisive", "attention seeking" and "not real". Whaaaat? Come on guys, we can do better than that.
Bisexuality is a huge part of the community and should be seen as such. They do matter, it is real and I think everyone needs to start seeing it that way too. People who are bisexual, many of my friends, rarely seek attention from it, definitely feel it's realness and do not want every person in the world to be in their bed at the same time. Big bed...
Let's put all stereotypes in the trash and accept that people can do whatever the f*ck they wanna do. If you are bi and like multiple people on the go, amazing! If you're bi and prefer to be left alone, great! If you're bi and want one person and you don't mind the gender, love that! Finally, if you're bi and feel excluded from your own community, you are valid.
Just like Moana.

Love is Love.
I knew Moana was the best.
Although the TikTok has since been removed, or the sound at least, you can still view it here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/video/tvshowbiz/video-2149080/Video-Moanas-Aulii-Cravalho-comes-bisexual-using-Eminem-song.html
